LabOMusée pour enfant "Fais comme l'oiseau et crée ton masque!"

From June 23, 2023, the Musée d'Art et d'Histoire will be presenting a unique exhibition entitled "Fais comme l'oiseau". It explores the theme of birds and their representation through the natural sciences, science and technology, the fine arts and the decorative arts.

In an ever-changing world, at a time when species are becoming increasingly rare and extinct, the exhibition questions man's relationship with this animal, while celebrating the beauty, charm, curiosity and diversity of these winged creatures. A highly symbolic animal figure, they are fascinating for scientists, fascinating for inventors, inspiring and enchanting for artists.

The exhibition explores these different facets, drawing on the collections of the Musées Lisieux Normandie, as well as on loans from museum institutions and private collectors.

Fais comme l'oiseau is an invitation to take a step back, to question our place in this world, to better understand and preserve the winged world.

This exhibition is the focal point of a rich program of events, covering the entire hanging period and at the various sites of the Musée de Lisieux Normandie.

Mask-making workshops are offered on Tuesdays, October 24 and 31, from 2:30 to 4:30 pm. Ages 5 and up, 2.50? per child.
